I tested flying in a paraglider with a flight instructor. the ESF Tignes And the sensations are exceptional! But it’s also an opportunity to discover the ski resort from a more original and unique perspective.

We went by cable car to « Toviere »Then we went skiing to the starting point where the instructor set me up in front of him. Well secured, Gopro in hand, helmets on our heads, we are ready!

The pilot inflated the sail, we started a descent in a straight line and a few seconds later we were airborne… Happiness… We fly very close to the snowy peaks, we get a great view and before landing we see the valley below us. the frozen lake I asked him to have fun and to let loose a little bit for maximum sensations.

And it didn’t miss a beat; we ended this few-minute flight with some acrobatics! I can only recommend you to try this activity in Tignes; you’ll be in for a treat…

Ice diving: making a remake of the film «The Great Blue»

You remember at the beginning of the film « The Great Blue » when Jacques Mayol dives under the ice? This scene was filmed in Tignes, And the ski resort is proud to be one of the best spots for practicing this unusual activity that still makes you a little afraid.

I was talking about adrenaline with Bun J Ride, I can assure you that the pressure goes up a notch when you realize once you’re in the frozen water that there’s a thick layer of ice trapping us!

No need to panic, the diving under the ice It's really surprising, but it's not that scary in the end; you just have to relax as much as possible, breathe calmly, and be reassured that you're being accompanied and supported by a professional instructor.

The equipment is perfect and completely secure; the team is very welcoming; before diving, we attend a small safety briefing; they equip us with the suit, gloves, and air bottle.

Once under water (max 1 to 2 meters), you never feel the cold because the suit is so thick and there is perfect impermeability. All you have to do is lift your head to see this slightly bluish ice through which only a few rays of sunlight pass and under which these dozens of giant air bubbles dance; it’s really surprising to see… And at the same time, very beautiful!

We feel cut off from everything; we no longer have a sense of «time»; we feel at ease. After 20 minutes of immersion, we surface again after following the «line of life»; and we return to reality!

Doing dog sledding in Tignes

During the stay, we had the opportunity to go sledding, an unprecedented experience to live once in a lifetime! A great taste of the Great North 🙂

A few minutes before departure, I went to have some fun with the Huskies And they are so beautiful that it’s hard to believe they’re real. Then we get put on the sled and off we go for a fifteen-minute walk, pulled by these dogs that are trained to perfection (and with love) by the Mushers.

I regret that there were so many walks taking place at the same time that day because it blocked the route and we were constantly stopping along the way.

It’s not the activity that you should do in Tignes if you’re looking for sensations, but rather to enjoy these endearing animals.
It will still cost 99 € for two people… The price-quality ratio isn’t that interesting in my opinion.

Activity organized on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays on Lake Tignes
