Saint-Tropez

A great weekend at the Hôtel de Paris, under the sun of Saint Tropez

Do you go to Saint Tropez? Anyway, we love it! We go to Saint Tropez two or three times a year for a day or a long weekend, but always outside the peak season to enjoy the charm of the city without the crowds. We love strolling through the streets of the old town, going to the market early in the morning just behind the port, having a drink before lunch at the Café des Arts on the famous Place des Lices, enjoying the beaches and, incidentally, doing some shopping, especially during the big Saint Tropez flea market!

This time we checked into the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez, a must-visit hotel in Saint Tropez that literally seduced us. This 5-star hotel is ideally located right in the heart of Saint Tropez, right across from the famous Gendarmerie de Saint Tropez, steps from Place des Lices and the port. Convenient, right? Especially when you consider that getting to and from Saint Tropez by car is a hassle. Once your car is parked at the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez, it’s easy to get around on foot or use the shuttle services provided by the hotel.

The lobby of the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez

The experience begins as soon as you walk through the doors of the hotel. We are immediately surprised by the contemporary decor and the arty touch through the promotion of artists and photographers. And there are also the large volumes, the giant chandelier and the two large glass elevators… We are left speechless! While Capucine checks in, I start wandering through this elegant and contemporary hall to discover all these different living spaces. Among other things, there is the Atrium bar, known for its delicious cocktails, as well as a relaxation area where you can lie down on these beautiful comfortable sofas, browse through one of the many design or photography books available. Not enough time to enjoy it right now; the check-in was quick, it’s time to discover our room…

Our room… So pop’!’

As soon as we enter the room, we are immediately pleasantly surprised by the rather atypical layout. We first pass through the bathroom, equipped with a beautiful mosaic shower, before arriving in the room, which is quite spacious and beautifully decorated in a pop style reminiscent of the golden age of Saint Tropez in the 70s. A first for us: we are going to sleep in a large round bed! We were quite skeptical at first, but in the end we feel so comfortable in it! The bedding is excellent and I have to admit that it was difficult to leave the bed in the morning…

Our room has a small terrace that overlooks the hotel’s central courtyard and prevents us from being exposed to the noise of the city. We really loved our room and its atypical style, but we just regret the slight lack of light in the room and also the absence of a coffee machine! But that’s just a minor detail 🙂

After such a pleasant night, all we want to do is enjoy the delicious breakfast served at the hotel’s courtyard… There is a wide selection of pastries, juices, breads, raw vegetables, and prepared dishes (bacon and eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc.), in short, pure bliss!

The fabulous rooftop of the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez

This is indeed our favorite feature of the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez: the large terrace on several levels with a beautiful and large swimming pool in the center where it is nice to cool off on sunny days. You can also enjoy a delicious cocktail and savor the specialties of the Les Toits Lounge restaurant. Both of us chose the Caesar salad with lobster… I still have to salivate at the thought of it and looking at the photo of the dish! After a good meal, time for some relaxation: we relax on sun loungers or on the «beds» with a view of the roofs of Saint Tropez… La vita e bella!

Exceptional dinner at La Pationata

The title says it all, and that’s an understatement! We had a wonderful evening, for the delight of our eyes and our taste buds. Yes, it was a real treat… The atmosphere is intimate, the decor refined, the service excellent and this cuisine… This cuisine is succulent with Mediterranean influences, but not only that. The restaurant has teamed up with the famous Petrossian house to present the new Patio’nnément Caviar menu, where you can enjoy exceptional dishes with high-quality products: caviar, salmon and crab. But when I learned that there was a selection of dishes based on truffle such as the Tomato Trilogy in carpaccio with Burrata with truffle, I couldn’t resist… It’s my weakness. Capu, for her part, chose the Brigitte Bardot vegan menu. Indeed, at least since last June, the famous Parisian has written a letter to all the restaurateurs in the city to raise awareness about animal welfare and to encourage them to create adapted menus.

The moment of well-being at the Clarins SPA

Time for relaxation and well-being in the spa at the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez, signed Clarins. We had a massage in duo that we won’t soon forget… We relax, we escape, we sleep, we dream, we feel like we’re out of time for a few hours in this dream spa. We even cancelled our afternoon program to fully enjoy this bubble of well-being! There are many services offered to customers, such as a sensory shower, a sauna, a hammam, an ice fountain, a nail bar, and specific treatments provided according to your needs. You’re sure to find your happy place here 🙂 Find all the details here soproducts offered at SPA by Clarins

We have pleasant memories of our lovely stay at the Hôtel de Paris Saint Tropez, the ideal place to spend a pleasant weekend together in the sunshine of Saint Tropez. We highly recommend it!
