An eSIM allows you to purchase a compatible mobile plan without having to insert an additional physical SIM card. This is a solution to consider to avoid relying solely on Wi-Fi during your stay.

Saily offers eSIM plans for different destinations. Before choosing one, check the coverage offered in your destination country, the data volume included, and the validity period of the plan.

How does a travel eSIM work?

An eSIM is a digital SIM card integrated into a compatible device. It allows you to activate a mobile plan without using a physical SIM card.

Before your departure, a few checks are useful:

• Compatibility: Make sure your smartphone supports eSIMs.
• The package: Check that your destination is covered and that the data volume corresponds to your usage.
• The installation: Follow Saily's instructions to install your eSIM.
• Activation: Please consult the package instructions to know when to activate the line and start using the data.
• The itinerancy: Check the requested settings for the travel eSIM and those of your regular SIM card.

Also consider checking your main line’s mobile data settings to avoid any roaming fees. The conditions depend, among other things, on your operator and your destination.

My advice to stay connected during your holidays

Whether you are leaving for a few days in Europe or several weeks in the other end of the world, take the time to compare the available options before your departure.

An eSIM can be convenient for using GPS, checking public transport, searching for activities, or communicating with your loved ones. When traveling with family, having a connection can also simplify organizing the days.

However, please note: a data eSIM does not necessarily replace your regular phone line. Check the services included in the chosen package.
