Bachelorette party in Ibiza: our dream weekend with the girls

When Marie announced that she was getting married, we had only one mission: to organize a bachelorette party that she would remember for a long time. After looking at several destinations, our choice fell on Ibiza. The sun, the beaches, the sunsets, the hippie markets, the designer hotels and the mythical evenings… everything was there to make for an unforgettable weekend.

I already knew the island from a few years ago when I had visited it and I was very eager to return. This time, the trip had a completely different flavor. For four days, from Friday to Monday, we shared laughter, discovered new addresses and above all enjoyed every moment together as friends.

If you are looking for an Ibiza birthday celebration idea, here is our program and all the great places I recommend.

Getting to Ibiza from Geneva

We left Geneva on an EasyJet flight. In just over an hour and a half, we swapped the daily routine for the sunshine of the Balearic Islands. It’s a very easy destination for a long weekend with friends, and as soon as we arrived, we were already eager to start this Ibiza getaway.

Before leaving, we had booked a car through BSP Auto And, in retrospect, I can tell you that it is certainly one of the best decisions we have made for this trip.

Many travelers choose taxis or Uber, but in Ibiza, having your own car really changes everything. We were able to discover the island at our own pace, leaving whenever we wanted, stopping in front of a beautiful cove we saw on the way or prolonging a sunset without having to worry about how to get back.

Another non-negligible advantage: The gasoline is much cheaper than in France, This makes travel really affordable, especially when you split the costs with several people. In the end, between the rental price and the fuel price, we have more than recouped our investment.

Thanks to the car, we were able to easily reach Ibiza Old Town, the hippie market in Las Dalias, Cala Comte, Ushuaïa, and all the other small places we had spotted before leaving. For an EVJF or even for a simple weekend in Ibiza, I can only recommend this solution. You will gain in freedom and you will enjoy the island much more.

Le Grand Paradis: a completely different hotel

For this stay, we packed our bags at Grand Paradiso Ibiza, a hotel that is unlike any other.

If you love places with character, you will love it. The entire decor is inspired by cinema, with a retro atmosphere, neon lights, beautiful colors, and an immense pool where it’s great to relax between two excursions.

I had already stayed at the Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel a few years ago and I had a great memory of it. The Grand Paradiso is in the same spirit, with an equally original universe.

The big advantage is that all the hotels in the group are located close to each other. As a customer of Grand Paradiso, we had access to the pools and common areas of the other hotels thanks to our room key card. An idea that I found brilliant and that allows you to discover several atmospheres during your stay without changing hotels.

A jewelry workshop with Alexiane Casagrande

To start our weekend, we had booked a slightly different activity: a jewelry-making workshop with Alexiane Casagrande.

I thought it was a nice idea for an EVJF. Instead of running around all day, we took the time to get together for a creative activity.

The workshop is warm and welcoming; you immediately feel at ease there. Alexiane takes the time to guide us through the creation of our bracelet. In front of us are dozens of stones, beads, and charms… the hardest part was actually choosing the right ones!

I loved that moment. We talked, laughed, and each created a piece of jewelry that reflected our own style. Most importantly, we shared a real moment together as friends. As we left, each of us already had her bracelet on her wrist. This is the kind of memory that has real sentimental value and that we will cherish long after the trip.

Strolling in Ibiza Old Town

It’s impossible to visit Ibiza without spending a few hours in the old town.

I really like the atmosphere here’Ibiza Old Town, With its cobbled streets, its white facades covered with bougainvillea and its small independent boutiques.

We took the time to do some shopping before settling down on the terrace of a restaurant to share several tapas accompanied by a delicious white sangria.

This is exactly the kind of lunch I love on vacation: no watch, no schedule, just enjoying the moment and watching the city come to life around us.

Las Dalias: the bohemian spirit of Ibiza

It is also impossible to leave without discovering the famous hippie market in Las Dalias.

I had heard a lot of good things about this market and I can see why. You can find beautiful handmade creations, bohemian clothes, jewelry, decor, leather bags… but most of all, a unique atmosphere.

It’s a pleasure to wander the aisles, listen to the musicians, and chat with the creators. Even if you don’t plan to buy anything, I really recommend you take a look.

A sunset at Cala Sunset

If there is one moment I will remember from this weekend, it is without hesitation our evening at Cala Sunset, Near Cala Comte.

We settled down on the terrace to have a drink while admiring the sun slowly disappearing behind the sea.

The atmosphere was incredible.

The sky went from blue to pink, then orange, while the conversations slowed down to make way for the spectacle.

It’s the kind of moment when you stop thinking about anything. You simply enjoy being there, surrounded by your friends, with a beautiful view.

For me, it’s a must-do activity during a stay in Ibiza.

An evening at Ushuaïa: an experience to be lived at least once

It’s impossible to organize an EVJF in Ibiza without planning a big party. We had chosen ANTS, one of the most emblematic nights of Ushuaïa, and I now understand why it attracts so many people every summer.

What I particularly like about Ushuaïa is the concept. Unlike traditional clubs that start late in the evening, here the party starts as early as 17 h and ends at 23 h. Personally, I find it great! We enjoy the atmosphere outdoors, we dance at sunset, then the evening continues elsewhere if we feel like it… or we go home to bed at a quite reasonable hour.

We have paid 65 € entrance fee, No consumption is allowed. It’s also worth noting that drinks are quite expensive inside, so it’s best to budget a little extra. But honestly, the experience is worth it.

The stage is gigantic, the lighting effects are incredible, the special effects keep on going and the energy of the audience is communicative. Even if you’re not a big club fan, attending at least one night at Ushuaïa is truly one of the must-do experiences in Ibiza.

We danced for hours, sang, laughed and enjoyed this last big night together before Marie's wedding. A night that we will remember for a long time!

My review of this weekend in Ibiza

I already really liked Ibiza during my first trip, but this stay allowed me to rediscover it in a different way.

Beyond the celebration, I love this island for its bohemian atmosphere, its landscapes, its sunsets, and the sense of freedom that you feel as soon as you set off on the road.

Between our hotel, the jewelry workshop, the streets of Ibiza Old Town, Las Dalias, our aperitif by sunset and this memorable evening at Ushuaïa, we experienced exactly the weekend we imagined to celebrate Marie’s bachelorette party.

If you’re looking for a destination that combines relaxation, discovery, beach and partying, I can only recommend Ibiza. And above all, take the time to go out of the clubs and discover all that the island has to offer. That’s also why we fall in love with Ibiza.
