Visiting Tulle in Corrèze: what to see and do?

I’m taking you to the southwest of France to visit Tulle in Corrèze and I’ll share my discoveries with you during a long weekend in this province that is still too little known. Don't miss seeing the famous planted window (ancient ruins), which forms a spectacular tableau with the beautiful Montane valley in the background.

Want some freshness? Marvel at the 3 Gimel waterfalls, one of the most beautiful natural sites in Corrèze. There is the Grand Saut waterfall of 45m, the Redole waterfall of 38m and the Queue de Cheval waterfall of 60m. It is accessed via a small marked path and, crossing a beautiful wooden bridge a little further down, you can have a break to eat and drink in a beautiful old building located on the path between two waterfalls.

In the middle of the Taysse Pond are 3 floating houses, each accessible by an individual electric boat from a small pier.

The Château de Sédières

This 15th-century castle is located just a few kilometers from the town of Clergoux, in a lush landscape surrounded by ponds, where you can enjoy beautiful walks on foot or by bike along the many marked trails. The setting is stunning! And to liven up the gentle summer evenings, there are many lively aperitif concerts held at the foot of the castle.

The Brezou Marsh

I finish this discovery of the surroundings of Tulle in Corrèze with the Brezou marsh, My favorite spot of the stay, located between Lagraulière and Chanteix. It is an exceptional site thanks to its natural wealth with remarkable flora and fauna. 

An enchanting place, full of poetry, where you reconnect with nature, especially at the end of the day, when the soft, golden light caresses this lush vegetation. You stroll along floating boardwalks, cross small wooden bridges and, at the turn of a bend, you come across wooden huts planted with live oak trees or one of the many wooden sculptures.
