Little India: Bollywood atmosphere right in the heart of Singapore!

If you want total immersion in the local culture, Little India is the place to go! As soon as I arrived in this Indian neighborhood of Singapore, I was immediately charmed by the friendly, lively, and somewhat chaotic atmosphere that prevails there. Colors, scents, music, and activity fill the senses, and during a stroll you almost forget that you’re in the heart of Singapore.

In the mid-19th century, the Indian quarter was famous for its hippodrome and horse races. It was also the meeting place for wealthy Europeans, who came to watch… But above all to êThree seen! The neighborhood also included many livestock farmers. None of this still exists today, but the neighborhood has retained its old-time dynamism and continues to offer the best of the Indian community in Singapore.

The program includes colorful and lively markets, shows on Sunday evenings, events, and the world of Bollywood as your sole horizon! Feel free to get lost in this neighborhood; you’ll be surprised at every street corner!

Don't miss the opportunity to visit:

–> In the alleys of the neighborhood, you’ll find atypical shops where you can find Indian products, jewelry stores (gold sellers), stands where flower necklaces are made (offerings), record stores, etc…

–> At the house of Tan Teng Niah, Definitely one of the most colorful and picturesque places in Singapore!
Address : 37 Kerbau Rd, Singapore 219168
