We tried Bruc 33 Tapas, a great place in Barcelona

Let’s take a look at some classic European clichés in their respective countries: the English in pubs, the French in the local bistros, and the Barcelonians in tapas bars! Are these just clichés? However, we can assure you that after trying them all during our stay, we realized that tapas bars are truly comfortable places where Barcelonians gather as a family, between colleagues after work, or with friends, starting a beautiful and long festive evening that ends in the early morning. The city is full of them, all spread out across the many neighborhoods. We love the atmosphere there, the noise where even at a distance of twenty centimeters from one another we have a hard time understanding each other. So, we blend in with the crowd, order a few more beers, and off we go! The atmosphere gets even more intense as the hours go by, and eventually everyone talks to everyone. A few dozen tapas later, all those beautiful people are gathered outside the bar and that’s the starting point for an expedition to the cocktail bars and other nightclubs in the city center in the Gothic Quarter and El Born neighborhood.

Among the multitude of tourist restaurants located in the city center Barcelona It’s hard to find the gem, the tapas bar that combines conviviality and culinary discovery. Of all the places we tried, the one that most appealed to us is the Bruc 33 Tapas, a charming little establishment located in the Eixample neighborhood, near Urquinaona Square. The tapas are refined and delicious, the service impeccable, the staff welcoming and the atmosphere warm and cozy, in a modern and fresh setting. Attention, remember to book for the weekend because there are a lot of people. We loved the homemade risotto, the «croquetas” of the bull's tail » And the grilled shrimp are a real treat! You’re sure to find your favorites among the wide variety of tapas with exquisite flavors, between land and sea… Don’t miss the chance to try one of their best cocktails, like Gin&T.

  • Argh, too bad I didn’t stumble upon this article before my little weekend in Barcelona at the end of April! I had seen it on several websites and blogs that «Tapa tapa» was good, I tried it, oh my God, what a horror! I hated it! Luckily I also tried «De Tapa Madre» which boosted my esteem for tapas bars. Next time I’ll try that one, it looks great! Thanks for the address!

  • I live not very far from there, I’ve always wanted to try it!

  • Thanks for the address, my daughter is going there in May; I’ll send it to her so that she can try it out with her friend too! 🙂
