Geneva with family: what to do for a weekend with teenagers?
I recently went to Geneva twice to attend a wedding in May and I fell in love with this Swiss city nestled on the shores of Lake Geneva. Just a 45-minute flight from Nice, Geneva is an ideal destination for a relaxing weekend getaway or a short road trip with the family.
During my last stay, we rented a car directly at Geneva airport to explore the surroundings. With the mountains in the background, the crystal-clear waters of Lake Léman, charming villages, and the many activities to do with teenagers, Geneva made me want to return there very soon with my whole family.

Admire the famous Jet d’Eau
It is impossible to visit Geneva without discovering its most emblematic monument: the Jet d’Eau.
Visible from many points in the city, it shoots hundreds of liters of water upwards at a height of more than 140 meters every second.
The walk along the lake is particularly pleasant. We loved strolling along the quays, enjoying the magnificent views of the Alps and the surrounding mountains.
It is also one of the best places to take some family photos.
Taking a walk in the old town
The historic center of Geneva is well worth a few hours of visit.
Its cobbled streets, small squares and old facades offer a very different atmosphere from the modern district on the edge of the lake.
