2 – The panoramic view at the top of Morne Brabant

Le Morne is well known for its luxurious hotels, but few people know that you can take in the breathtaking view from the top of Morne Brabant; and believe me, the effort is worth it!

You can reach the summit on a 3.30-hour excursion accompanied by Yan, the only guide authorized to guide groups on Morne. It takes about 1.30 hours to climb up, and the difficulty level varies depending on the different stages of the hike, but it is really worth it!

The guide is very friendly and provides a wealth of information about the local flora and fauna.

4 – The Corner of Mire

During a trip to Mauritius, I went to spend the day on a catamaran at the Coin de Mire located off the Zilwa hotel. This service includes the onboard meal prepared by the crew, drinks, snorkeling gear and of course the atmosphere that is also great! The departure is at 9:00, the return at 16:00 and it costs about 1600 MUR per person, or about forty Euros.

5 – The Pamplemousse Botanical Garden

If you want to get green and discover exceptional flora, visit the tropical botanical garden of Pamplemousse created by Pierre Poivre in the 18th century. Located in the north of Port Louis, this magnificent 37-hectare garden houses a wide variety of plants originating from all corners of the world as well as endemic species of the island of Mauritius.

I was enchanted by these colors, these scents, and all the senses are on high alert in this garden of Eden. In the middle of the garden you can admire this large pond filled with giant water lilies and, as you wander a little further, you can observe birds, bats, reptiles, and many others that roam the park freely. The essential refreshment stop of your stay in Mauritius.

Located in the north of Mauritius, about ten minutes from Grand Bay, the small village of Cap Malheureux is known for its postcard-like scenery, the tranquility of the place, and its famous church, which on Sundays welcomes many worshippers who come to attend Mass.

Take the time to wander around the area at different times of the day to enjoy this beautiful light that enhances the landscapes, for the greatest happiness of photographers 🙂 That day the conditions were ideal for flying the drone and taking these beautiful photos of Cap Malheureux.

  • A destination that we discovered with our 9-month-old baby and our 2-and-a-half-year-old older brother. I went there a little reluctantly as I wasn’t very keen on relaxing activities. I came back enchanted because there are actually many and varied activities there. The local culture is also interesting.
