We tested: the Corinthia hotel in London
During a stay in London, we were fortunate enough to spend one night at Corinthia London, one of the emblematic palaces of the British capital.
One night was enough to understand why this hotel meant so much to us. And our stay had a little extra touch: we were in London during the Christmas holidays.
From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the elegance of the place. The Corinthia perfectly combines the charm of a historic building with contemporary decor and exceptionally attentive service.
Located Whitehall Place, Located just minutes from the Thames and Trafalgar Square, the hotel offers an ideal location for exploring London on foot.
✨ Our arrival at Corinthia London
As soon as we opened the doors, we discovered the large hall of the hotel.
At this time of the year, the Christmas decorations add a little more magic to the whole atmosphere. The atmosphere is elegant without being cold, and you immediately feel yourself immersed in the universe of a real London palace.
The staff quickly came to meet us to take our luggage and assist us during the arrival formalities.
We then take the time to look around us and enjoy this first moment in the hotel.
And then there is the Full Moon.
🌕 The spectacular Full Moon
It’s impossible to walk into the large salon of the Corinthia without raising your eyes.
In the center of the space is Full Moon, an impressive light installation created by the French designer Chafik Gasmi and made by the house Baccarat.
This immense constellation is composed of 1 001 white crystal globes, With a single red globe in the middle.
It’s precisely this small detail that immediately catches the eye.
The chandelier has become one of the visual hallmarks of Corinthia and gives the grand salon a truly spectacular atmosphere.
Even without staying there, it’s typically the kind of detail that makes you remember a hotel.
☕ A great room where you could stay for hours
Around the large living room, several more intimate spaces allow you to relax in peace.
At Christmas, the small Christmas trees add a finishing touch to the decoration and make the place particularly cozy.
You can sit there to have a cup of tea, enjoy some pastries or simply have a drink.
That’s also what I enjoyed during our stay: The Corinthia is not just a place to sleep. The various spaces make you want to take your time and enjoy the hotel.

Then comes the moment to discover our room.
A member of the team accompanies us and we discover a large room of about 45 m², Elegant and particularly comfortable.
The whole is refined, with beautiful materials, contemporary decor and that sense of space that is always appreciated when staying in a hotel in London.
After a day spent exploring the capital, it was obviously very pleasant to find this room.
And let's be honest: the next morning, we had a lot of trouble getting out of bed!
The Corinthia spa
The Corinthia also houses an important wellness area, with its ESP Life at Corinthia, which plays an important role in the experience offered by the hotel.
For a romantic getaway or a weekend spent in complete relaxation, this is obviously a real plus.
After a day of walking in London, being able to enjoy a moment of calm and well-being can be particularly pleasant.
📍 An ideal location for visiting London
The location is, in my opinion, one of the biggest advantages of the Corinthia.
The hotel is located at Whitehall Place, In central London, near the Thames and Trafalgar Square.
From the hotel, it is easy to reach several of London’s major attractions on foot and enjoy the city without having to take public transport for every trip.
For a first stay in London as well as for a more upscale weekend getaway, it is a particularly convenient location.
❤️ Our opinion on Corinthia London
We didn’t spend just one night at the Corinthia, But it was more than enough to leave us with a very nice memory of this hotel.
What I particularly liked was the association between the charm of a palace, contemporary decor, very attentive service and a central location.
And with the Christmas decorations, the experience was even more magical.
Obviously, a night in a palace like the Corinthia is a significant expense. But if you’re looking to treat yourself in London for a special occasion — Anniversary, wedding anniversary, romantic weekend or just the desire to live an exceptional experience — that’s typically the kind of address that you don’t forget.
