The Great Italian Lakes: the Borromean Islands.
Hello everyone!
If you follow us on Facebook, Twitter or also Instagram you have (Maybe) Tracked our shipment Italian last week.

We didn’t have a specific program; we wanted to go for 4 or 5 days. Italy, Preferably not too far from our home.
We are quite familiar with Italy: Rome, Venice, Florence, Milan, Cinque Terre, Sicily, Sardinia… but we didn't know the region of the Italian Great Lakes.
Lake Maggiore and Lake Como, here's our new adventure!
It’s off!
Here is our itinerary: Cannes, San Remo, Baveno (Great Lake), Bellagio (Lake Como), Milan and Serravallee. All in 4 days!
Departure from Cannes, We left in the evening and stopped after San Remo. We slept in a campsite horrible whose name we won't mention! It would have been better to at least pretend to be interested Vacation rentals in France just before the border towards Menton. It would have cost a little more, but we would have been in a clean place to spend this first night as a «stopover».
The next morning we set off for Lake Maggiore, a good three hours' drive to get to the town of Baveno. We found a campsite, the camping Parisi (30€ per night for 2 with a car + our tent), with a great location, right on the lake.
Once we were settled in, we were advised to go visit the Islands of Borromeo.
The way the easier to explore the Islands It is obviously by boat from Stresa. You can buy a ticket «Free Movement» for the day. (about 10€ per person)
Now on to the magnificent Isoba Bella and Isola Superiore, 2 of the Borromee Islands.
For more information: visit the campsite on Lake Maggiore and for more For general information about Lake Maggiore, please see here 🙂
See you tomorrow for the rest of our visit to Lake Maggiore!

I really like Italy and this is a region I would like to discover, the one with those big lakes, it’s making me want to visit it more and more.
I really enjoyed following you on Instagram.
It’s been a while since I’ve been to this area and I can see myself spending the next few holidays there… either there or the Amalfi Coast …
